"Placed a couple of roads back from Princes Street, this hotel was in a great position to walk to most tourist sights. The check in was quick and they held suitcases until the room was ready. The apartment was bigger than expected and really clean and modern, with everything provided for a short stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer! "The hotel itself looks very nice and makes a good first impression. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated. However, there were some significant issues that affected our experience. The bathroom felt quite dated, and unfortunately, cleanliness was a problem — there was body hair and even toenails left in the bath when we arrived. "Townhouse was within walking distance of the train station and bus stops. Slightly larger walks to the Royal Mile but doable. Nice shops nearby too. Our room was pretty but a bit small. We stayed in the St. Mary’s. It was a nice stay. "
