"Absolute 13th century gem of a property that’s just outside of San Casciano and 25 minute drive outside Florence and 30 minutes from FLR airport. Villa Poggiale provides beauty, charm and hospitality and amazingly, at a fair rate!! Family of 6 people in 3 different rooms for 3 nights, each room with unique design. This is a well maintained, well managed, and well run property that has preserved its history & quaintness but at same time provides modern day amenities- AC in all rooms, well appointed bathrooms, complimentary coffee & tea machines, spa & exercise room, pool ( though closed for seasonal maintenance over our stay), and great parking for those renting cars(which we highly suggest as Uber & cabs hard to get & expensive). And lastly, their included breakfast is FABULOUS- I read some negative reviews on breakfast and we can comfortably and confidently say that this is bad information or that Villa has upgraded since those reviews- this coming from grown family of 6 people that LOVE their breakfast!! Unequivocally, when we are back in Florence we will stay here again !!"

"The property is beautiful, but not even close to half the size of what it looks in pictures and very different. There’s actually nothing much to do except wine tour considering it’s very far from Florence and the cabs are very expensive to go and back. We had to wait more than an hour to get a drink and chips in restaurant as there was nobody there between lunch and dinner hour. So if you get late for lunch, there’s nothing to eat until dinner hours except coffee. It would have been nice for place to have at least some sandwiches or snack to grab between meal hours, considering there are not any restaurants nearby. The place can be a good idea if only you want some quiet time away from city. I do not recommend it if you have children or want to do activities!"

"We loved Castello di Montegufoni. We felt like royalty in our large rooms. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was small but adequate. I plan to go again. This is a great place to stay as a base when visiting Tuscany. "

A highlight was the stunning infinity pool; lounging there with a panoramic view of the rolling Chianti hills was pure magic. You can even order olive oil from their groves and wine from their vineyards to take home or they will assist with the shipping! It’s rare to find a property that hits a **perfect 10/10** in every category, Villa le Calvane does it effortlessly. We cannot wait to return!" "

"Our stay at Villa La Capella was nothing short of perfect. The two owners, Paula and Anthony, were both such incredible individuals. I have never experienced anything so warm and welcoming during my travels. The hospitality they provided went above and beyond what anyone would expect or could ask for. My partner and I will be returning again and again, if not for the most gorgeous views of the country side (or the beautiful and elegant Kobe, one of three resident dogs that live there) but for the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that Paula and Anthony have cultivated. "The property has a very Tuscan country feel and the staff was very welcoming. It was quiet and safe and the room was clean and large, bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend a stay here, the location is a very convenient hub for branching out to see various cities in the Tuscan region."

"Wonderful staff here. Simona! Natalia! Good breakfast. Spacious rooms. Lovely area. It is remote but remote can be a wonderful thing. Only suggestion is the shower leaks because the shower door is not sealed. So a rethink there. But otherwise fabulous and highly recommended. "
