"I’d say it’s functional for a short stay, say the weekend like we did there but for a longer stay I don’t reckon I’d recommend. Of course old European style which is the aesthetic of the city but the hard cold floor in our room, the sink in the middle of the room, it was only going to be a matter of time til it became uncomfortable. The hotel didn’t keep House slippers and couldn’t provide one when they were requested, I thought that was a tad insensitive in the middle of Spring."

"Had a wonderful time staying here. The staff were very friendly, in a great location surrounded by restaurants and cafés. Perfect for walking. Keep in mind, there is no elevator. My partner and I had to go to a convenience store to buy water and bring it back to the hotel because there are no utilities to supply water in the hotel, other than the tap. "

"Le Manoir d'Auteuil was the perfect “home base” for exploring Quebec City. The location on Rue d'Auteuil was close to all Quebec City has to offer, both in and out of the city walls. The room was quiet, comfortable, and well appointed, and the included light continental breakfast (croissants, crepes, and coffees) was a great start to each day. Finally, the staff is first rate, polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. Make your reservation and prepare for a lovely stay!"

"This was a wonderful experience. It was very relaxing. Everyone seemed so kind. The other guests also seemed nice. The hotel has its own ethos - very relaxing and respectful. It is a beautiful historical building, and a real treat to be able to stay in it. I had a single room with a single bed, just like the nuns had. That is what I had wanted - to share the experience. Other rooms are available, but I wanted the authentic experience."
