The digital check in procedure was very unwelcoming. They are just trying to save money by having the guests do everything. Not happy with the way things are going regarding lack of customer service these days.

Clean, convenient, and spacious place to lay our heads while travelling from the fjords back to Oslo. I’m sure it’s even more fun during ski season!

Stayed at one of the 1 bedrooms apartment. It was very nice, spacious. Great views. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hotel is walking distance to cafes, stores, groceries. The only negative thing was the weak internet connection in the apartment.

Noisy with construction right in your face from 6am-8pm. Horrible beds and the hotel condition is deteriorating. So sad to experience that when it had been our favorable stay every autumn for the three past years.

The swimming pool was excellent - as was the on site bakery. The rooms were ok - but our room had nowhere to hang clothes - no wardrobe or hooks.Nothing! Nor did it have a toilet roll holder. Sounds a small thing - but the toilet roll had to be balanced on the cistern and kept falling off.

It was a good location to catch the train to Myrdal and the Flamsbana. Food is very good, especially the creme brulee. Breakfast was average.

Nice stay, no complaints! The hotel also have nice surroundings and facilities I didn’t have time to enjoy. I’d absolutely use it again if I need to sleep in this part of the country

A gem in the middle of the mountains
This is a great hotel, very nice, modern, nice restaurant, bar and a back porch with a view of the mountain. The room was nice with a kitchenette, it had some plumbing issues, so the staff moved us to a different room that was an upgrade. The pool and the sauna were super clean and really nice.

Nice stopover between Oslo and Bergen
One night stopover was very enjoyable. Clean room but as it is Norway the beds were single pushed together and the food was good but expensive - as expected.

Overnight halt on the way to Bergen from Oslo. Lovely in-house bakery and a great breakfast. Would recommend it as pitstop enroute the Hardangervidda

So cozy!
We stayed for one night, as it was between Bergen and Oslo, but the Lodge beat all my expectations and I thought it was so cozy looking. I would move into the downstairs living area. I actually spent a few hours there reading in the evening and drinking hot chocolate, to me it felt like something out of a movie and I loved it.

Monica at the front desk was super helpful as our reservation through Expedia was not there. She took care of us and gave us a great room with an awsome view.

Great stay in Geilo.
Our room was just renovated - family setup was clean, perfect and exceeded our expectations. The desk manager was very friendly and helped us with recommendations which were terrific. I would definitely come back.

Skip this one, not worth the money
We paid over 200 for a room assuming a four star hotel. The room we were given hardly deserved two stars. The hotel facilities are OK, nice terrasse in the back. Seating on the terrace was not comfortable. There were no pillows on the furniture outside. The room was terrible. The worse was probably the bathroom. Looked like we had booked a retirement home, complete with the well chair accessible ramp and sear to take a shower. The room had a TV off very poor quality, was very small, hardly enough room to put bags next to the bed, and the beds were not comfortable. The room was very hot, no air conditioning. There was a balcony, but no furniture on it. Also, the balcony was dirty and had a view on a like of metal garbage. Not happy about the description of this room found in Expedia.

Not what I expected
This hotel is undergoing reconstruction to provide more apartments and this means that if you want a rear facing room with a balcony (as I had requested) you are unlikely to get one. A pity because the mountain view rooms are spectacular. The staff moved us to a slightly larger room with a balcony when we were unhappy with our first room. The restaurant coped with a vegetarian better than I expected. The spa and pool area was good but there seemed to be no rules about unaccompanied children who could get a bit rowdy.

only if you must
no service- if you want to have something from the maintenance you have to come and take it yourself from the reception. we pay for a triple room an got a double small room, with a sofa that opens and you have no room left. The bathroom was too small and uncomfortable

Very good hotel and service
The hotel is in the centre of Geilo with a free shuttle bus to the train station and a free ski bus to the ski slopes. It's on a busy main road through the village close to the local supermarket. The service was very good. Reception staff was very helpfull. Our room was clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay very much. By the way, skiing in Geilo is simply exceptional!
