"Highlight was definitely the onsen. This is the best onsen I have ever used in any area of Japan. It's huge, there are so many different options for baths, and the women's open air bath was so beautiful and picturesque in the middle of winter, right next to a snow covered mountain. It was spotless clean and they provide so many amenities. We stayed in a Japanese style room and it was lovely. "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here for 2 nights. The benefit of being able to wear just socks and walk throughout the hotel is amazing. Being able to use a private onsen on the first floor and in your room is very nice. While food is good, I wouldn't call it great. It's multi-course but always has a hotpot round and you can order extra dishes if you are hungry. If you stay for 2 nights, you can choose your next night's main dish but it's also hotpot style main. Wouldn't recommend staying for food...

"We had the most gorgeous time at this beautiful ryokan/onsen/resort. The setting is so calm and luxurious – I’ll never forget sitting in the (huge) window of our room in the evening and morning, watching the birdlife over the pond and river, with the snowy mountains in the distance. "I’m extremely DISAPPOINTED with the condition of the room during my stay. With a rate of over MYR1,000 per night, the experience did not reflect the standard expected from a Crowne Plaza property. The hotel room is so small for 3 person. Can only open 1 Large luggage and need to close it to open another large luggage. The bathtub was clogged, the exhaust vent was dirty and rusted, and the grab bars in the bathroom were corroded and unhygienic. Overall, the room looked worn and poorly maintained. (Photos attached.) Frankly, with that price point, I could have stayed at far better hotels in Sapporo. This was the WORST among all the hotels I’ve stayed at on this trip including both local and international chains. It was not worth the premium rate."
