8/10 Very good! (134 reviews)
My husband & I stayed at Lotus Saigon for 2 weeks & were very happy with our stay. Breakfast was great with many Asian & Western foods available with about 12 hot food choices, including fried eggs & omlettes, toast, jam, 3 different fruits, yoghurt, sweet cakes, tea, coffee, water & 2 juices (cordial). After 2 weeks though it was a little repetitive. Pool was really lovely (but why aren't lounger mats put out daily?) Adjoining gym looked well maintained too. But like most hotels there's room for improvement, particularly with cleaning of room. Some days we had soap, tissues, toilet paper, water etc replenished, but other days we didn't. We had to ask for soap at reception as we hadn't received any, or body wash for 4 days. Our full bin wasn't emptied one day. Also I don't think our room was ever vacuumed in whole time as we picked up leaves etc that had blown in from balcony. But the friendliness & helpfulness of all staff there made up for any slight misgivings. Hotel is close to a small grocery store where prices were very competitive. It's close to atms, banks, local laundry services & food stalls. One more thing, it's such a pity that the 'Coffee Shop' in foyer is non-operational & also that the piano was never played (sign on it saying not to). Would be lovely to have a young local come in to entertain on piano on a Friday/Saturday night whilst people came in & enjoyed while sitting in Coffee Shop. You could open it to outsiders as well. It would be a little gold mine.
