"Stayed for one night in one of the standard double rooms. All the staff from check-in to check-out were friendly & helpful, the room itself was perfect (lots of space in the room, has a desk and tv, bed was comfy, shower was a lot bigger then we expected very modern, it had a small fridge and everything was clean). Restaurant & bar downstairs which was really good. Just remember there is no lift (which they state on the listing) if you come with heavy/lots of bags. This was no bother to us...

"This hotel is always welcoming. I like the peace of the location and the absence of the big chain feel. Staff are like family and hotel has character. This stay over Xmas was enjoyable and provided a good base for family visits. Breakfast is legendary and a great start to the day. "This hotel is excellent. They have thought of everything, from earplugs by the bed to a digital Robert’s radio playing classic fm when you arrive. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Great bar and restaurant and wonderful staff. I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels and this is up there and way better than a lot of far more expensive places I’ve stayed. If I’m ever in the area this will be where I stay."
