"The room was lovely and spacious. Very clean. Bed was lovely and big. The only thing that was a bit unnerving was the door lock. The locks on the door aren’t particularly safe and with our room being on the ground floor made it feel a little insecure. However, the complimentary water and hot drinks in the room was extremely handy! The breakfast catered for all with either a help yourself option or you could order something to be made off the menu. Couldn’t fault the breakfast at all. The only downside I would say, with our room being on the ground floor, the upstairs felt very noisy. We could hear every foot step and creak through the floor/floorbards. Appreciate this is a little out of their hands, but given we’d been at a wedding the day before, being woken up by stomping upstairs wasn’t hugely appreciated at 7am. This being said, we’d definitely stay here again but perhaps request a room above. Thank you for a lovely stay! X"

"Lovely house in a beautiful setting. Decor old fashioned but OK. Most staff helpful and pleasant. No hot water on first day and, despite informing a staff member, it was only lukewarm on second day. Poor breakfast on first day - some food not available (eg bacon) and only one staff member on duty while also covering reception. Driveway full of potholes."

"We had a lovely overnight stay for my best friends birthday , she had a fabulous Driftaway spa treatment with the wonderful Charlotte , the setting of the hotel is beautiful & we enjoyed a leisurely walk around the lake . The room we stayed in hd everything we needed & we lovely & cleam . Food in restaurant was good with plenty of choice, the only small negative was that it was undergoing a refurbishment which limited us to access to bars & dining , but the staff were great , very friendly nothing was too much trouble we had a really lovely relaxing weekend and cannot wait to go back !! "

"Ample parking, well-appointed room, staff generally helpful. We stayed in the ‘Indulgence Suite’ and were impressed by the room, but sadly didn’t get to enjoy a relaxing evening as there was a party going on that was just so, so loud until 11pm. Pub food was extremely disappointing, very over-priced for quality. Breakfast was tasty and a good selection, but at 9am there was no bread, plates or bowls for the buffet so wasn’t very well-maintained. Bed was very uncomfortable unfortunately. Room was very dark and quiet once music had stopped though."

"The hotel was ideal for us as only 30 minutes or so to Goodwood. Good value accommodation. Very helpful staff and the Restaurant food was first rate. Also worth a mention was the Bar where the staff and clientele were so welcoming it reminded us of the bar in 'Cheers'!"

"Did not appreciate being woken at 8am by the cleaner when i was working nights and only saying for 1 night why would u need to come in at 8am when i was checking out 11!!"

"From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stood out. The property itself is absolutely stunning. It's set in a private, fenced area with a beautiful private garden. Its perfect for relaxation and enjoying some peaceful time. The whole setup offers excellent privacy and a real sense of retreat. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared, making our stay comfortable and convenient from start to finish. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a special getaway. Five stars!"
