"Room was very comfortable ,clean and quiet with all the amenities iron and board tea etc.The bathroom and shower worked very and was stocked with all you need for a good shower. "

"Stayed for one night in one of the standard double rooms. All the staff from check-in to check-out were friendly & helpful, the room itself was perfect (lots of space in the room, has a desk and tv, bed was comfy, shower was a lot bigger then we expected very modern, it had a small fridge and everything was clean). Restaurant & bar downstairs which was really good. Just remember there is no lift (which they state on the listing) if you come with heavy/lots of bags. This was no bother to us...

"This is a lovely hotel in a nice quiet location when beautiful views Check-in great and the room had everything you need - be nice to have had a bottle of water. Restaurant looked great but didn't try it. Lunchtime snacks ok but did think I'd get a fresh cooked club sandwich Not just a cold filling inside water toast. Spa was great and I look forward to trying i venue in warmer to make use of outside "

"Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. "

"We loved our stay at Rose and Crown! The staff were so friendly. Our room had so much character, and was bigger than we would have expected. It was quite comfortable and surprisingly quiet (we were there midweek on a slightly rainy day). We also ate at the pub and really enjoyed our meal. We would stay again!"

"Convenient location in the middle of town but no parking facility..Public car parking 100 metres away. Bedroom noisy up to 23.00 due to karaoke in bar downstairs. Very friendly and attentive staff and food choice and quality was excellent - best barbecued ribs I have had in a long time. Well kept Real Ale."
