"Stay was ok. Car park difficult, v few signs etc so no idea where was going to get to reception. Road closures made accessing hotel difficult and staff didn't let us know about the potential issues. Room smelt a bit funny but was otherwise clean. Shower leaked water onto bathroom floor. Pool nice."

"Captured audience so the food was outrageously priced £30.00 plus for a bang basic mixed grill. Parking in a huge car park was £10.00 with plenty of spare places. Even blue badge holders were charged the same but all the disabled bays were taken up by gym users etc and only one badge displayed in 20 plus bays. The signs indicating payment were not noticeable and we saw a few residents falling foul of this. Worst of all. No check in desk. All electronic. Not intuitive at all. So much so that there were staff permanently stood by the consoles helping folks check in and out. Just have a bl@@dy reception desk! There’s knob all other than a KFC nearby (although Champy’s a short drive away is sublime and highly recommended). All in all a comfy bed and that’s about it. This place is more about greed in my opinion. Do yourself a favour and swerve this one. There’s plenty better and cheaper. One more thing, it’s a refurbished property and if you know anything about building, there’s plenty of sticking plasters. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear! Greed in my opinion."

"The bedroom was very clean, as was the bathroom. The dining room had very sticky tables not enough staff to clear and reset tables, also the hot drinks machines were not working, no member of staff available to help. The breakfast food was very good. Car park difficult to get into and was very wet on second floor."

"centrally situated, although there are many hotels nearby, we have stayed here regularly, as we often go to the city for theatre and arena shows. Breakfast is also a treat, the best and cheeriest staff you could ever meet, there is nothing you could mention that is too much trouble, they are the absolute best."

"Really disappointed. One night stay for >£150, then told the gym was an extra £12 charge and breakfast an extra £16 (+£5 for standard breakfast items) making it £21 for 2 poached eggs on toast! My room was 2 single beds pushed together both of which had springs coming out the mattress. Bathroom was filthy, 2 members of staff entered my room without knocking. Woman on reception was helpful and the only shining light in this overpriced hotel."
