"This was the best hotel stay in my whole life! To start the property I believe is a refurbished historic ryokan so it definitely has the charm of a traditional stay while being luxury appointed ! I cannot speak better about staff here they were so helpful they went out of there way to make sure we had everything , greet us, open doors, offer us umbrellas on rainy days! We did also pay for breakfast and that was truly such a cool experience, taxi was waiting for us in the morning to bring us to...

"This was the perfect hotel for me and my teenaged son. We were close to a lot of the sites I wanted to see and a quick bus ride from the heart of Kyoto that he wanted to experience. The hotel itself was charming and spacious. Especially after spending a few days in Tokyo, the room felt massive. Two double beds, a living area with TV, separate WC and separate tub/shower. The staff was enthusiastic and cheerful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Superb hotel!"

"Stylish and spacious for family of 6. Very thoughtful touches and amenities in room and layout was very comfy with couch and coffee table. Location was in Gion district which was lively and convenient to stores and restaurants(including Family Mart and Mcdonald's). Free drinks in lobby was a big plus. Only tiny downside is our room was facing a bar which was a little noisy on the weekend but we were able to sleep fine. Staff was very accommodating and professional. Would stay here again"

"The room was very spacious with a separate living room and kitchenette. The beds were Japanese style and very low to the ground so be aware if you have trouble getting up. The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful. We would stay here again."

"The inn was the perfect base to explore Kyoto, just steps from Gion and Higashiyama sights and walking distance to Pontocho Alley and Nishiki Market. It was also convenient to have a washer-dryer combo in the room as well as a refrigerator in the kitchenette (although that is a glorified term since there were no plates, forks, or knives). The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have a television and seating in the bedroom."

"Excellent location, very near points of attraction, corner to a 711, but didn’t feel like it was too in the centre of it all. Peaceful ambiance once you enter the lobby, including a lovely aroma. Front desk staff were always there and always helpful with requests we had. Room was clean and spacious, enough room to spread out and open up our suitcase. Little table with coffee and kettle and cups, fridge, and another small table. Nice sized TV. Cool design at head of bed that helped set the tone....
