"Definitely a place to remember and unwind after a busy time of work, whether that be holding which we hadn’t tried or enjoying a very nice view while having a drink to enjoying a relaxing time in their swimming pool. "We spent a pleasant night here with a very spacious room and comfortable bed, although the bathroom felt a touch old-fashioned. Our evening meals, in the bar, were OK, nothing special, although service was quite slow, and for some reason we couldn’t use a Greene King drink voucher despite it being a Greene King pub ! "Absolutely lovely. We were upgraded to a suite. The room was huge spotlessly clean and kept well. Complimentary minibar was a nice surprise and it was great having both shower and bath. Breakfast had an excellent choice and was generally good quality. The full English was ok but not the best but on second had excellent other choices. Service throughout was excellent."

"This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv. So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was. Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good.
