"While the room looked like it was recently painted I was disappointed to discover it was for a handicapped person without any prior notice. I imagine it impacted the price of the room and perhaps made it cheaper but I would have paid more if I was offered a regular room without the open shower stall. "I only stayed one night, but it was impressive! The staff was so welcoming..even gave me a tour of the Inn, as it is steeped in history. Dinner was great, I ordered the salmon and it was delicious. I sat at the bar as I was a solo traveler. The barmaid was very welcoming, as were all the "regulars" who showed up to eat and drink. My room was clean and comfortable. Be aware...there are no tv's in the rooms (I did not mind). There is plenty of easy parking in the lot."

"If you are looking for a place with friendly people and a nice ride to Foxwoods, this is the place. It is not fancy and is cleaned like a home but everyone is so nice. Beds very comfortable and pretty quiet."

"I felt like this place was a bargain, especially with breakfast included! We stayed in April just before their weddings started, and it was very quiet. We had a nice view of the water from our room, and the grounds are stunning! It was clean and perfect for an overnight. People with lots of luggage or mobility issues should note that there is no elevator. You also cannot control your room's temperature, and it was a bit warmer than I like for sleeping.
