"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. "Got a room on 9th floor and it was modern, airy, spacious, quiet, and clean. Above average for what I paid. Comfortable bed. Nice having a little fridge in the room as well. Hotel location worked out perfectly for me. Close enough to walk to Guggenheim, museum, Old Town, but not so close to tourist sites that prices are high. Many cafes, grocery stores, and other useful services right in the neighbourhood. Not knowing Bilbao when I booked, this ended up being the perfect location for me to explore the town and avoid most of the tourist congestion. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Only caution is that it’s near the football stadium, so if there’s a match on it can get very busy (and noisy) in the area."

"Very nice facility with excellent service at front desk. The airport shuttle is very convenient and had no trouble making a 7AM departure. The breakfast is super and starts at 5Am. This is an ideal hotel to use if you have an early flight the next morning or are arriving late to Bilbao Airport. It is not close to central Bilbao."

The hotel was a bit hard to find at first, but once I got there I realised there's a metro stop just a 2 min walk away. It's only one stop from the old town then. Highly recommend this place."
