"The host was welcoming and friendly that she led us to the chalet when we got lost. Everything was tidy and neat from bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen and the living room. The hob is easy to use and both the dishwasher and the washing machine were working well and clean. The heater and the boiler were functioning well which were important after experiencing bad weather outdoor. My family had a good time there, which was a good base to visit Scottish Highland and Isle of Skye."

We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. "The Hen House was lovely! It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard. The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic. The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt. Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car. Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here. "

"The rooms were ok, no plug points or USB options. We didnt have a uk plug but none in the reception to borrow. We were given really old type of rooms but I think there are better ones there. View was great from kids upper floor but our river view room ( premium paid) was nothing to write about. Breakfast was fine, again nothing to write about. Location is really good but could have booked elsewhere, lot of places near by. We got parking across the street for free but front desk didnt offer theirs"

"This hotel is lovely. We stayed as a family of 3 and our room was big and spacious. The room was extremely clean and appeared to have been modernised recently. The shower was excellent! Although the curtains in the room were fine, they were not attached properly to the curtain rings and pole therefore looked a bit messy, however, not a huge issue for us. Very friendly staff for the most part, although one of the ladies that served us at the bar wasn't very sociable and didn't seem to have much patience. Bar area was lovely, however, there were a couple of guests who were sat outside and kept coming in and out thought the fire escape door, leaving it ajar so they could do this. We were therefore not able to enjoy a relaxing drink as the midgies kept flying in. The pool also isn't great and the steam room wasn't working during our stay. Apart from that, the hotel is lovely and we would definitely stay here again. Cosy, clean, and our evening meal in the restaurant was top notch 👌 great breakfast too."
