"The location was excellent, in the middle of any place you’d want to walk and fairly close to a metro station (Jaume 1). The room was clean and modern but a little on the small size. The shower was large and excellent but needed instructions how to turn on. The AC wasn’t really adequate but was better than none at all. The lobby AC though was very cool, a nice welcome after walking outside. There was a restaurant which we never saw or used. If you wanted coffee there was a vending machine in the lobby as well as a vending machine for snacks. "

"The hotel is big and beautiful. Sometimes they take too long at reception but theyre helpful and polite. They have a scale to weigh luggage which was much needed. I loved the design of the room but the layout was horrible. I LOVE all things light and bright but almost in the center of the room was a big, wonderful mirror with a ring light, right above the sink, blocking all the natural light. At night there is a sitting area right before the bed that is very dark because they only have small lamps on the nightstand. No lights on that side, not in the ceiling, not on the wall. The lighting in the corridor is blocked by the mirror, so barely any light reaches the bed. I dont like that. Other than that housekeeping was good, the location was nearby many travel options (bus, tram, train), a mall is not too far, and Lidl is also close by. We had everything we needed. We didnt get to do pool or spa. At checkout I was charged for taxes per person, per night, but they charged a huge, incorrect fee that is pending being refunded. I recommend and will stay again, hopefully in a room with better lighting."

"We stayed at Hotel 1898 twenty years ago! Had to come back and it was as wonderful as we remembered! Great location, friendly staff, great food and wine and beautiful rooftop deck with excellent live music."
