"Location is excellent but if you’re driving in that area it’s probably best to get a taxi as the parking garage is on the right side of a T junction one a one way road!! Room is comfortable but please check type of room as you book as we had a room with no views! Breakfast buffet is awesome. Would recommend the hotel as long as you are willing to pay the extra money for it"

"Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms and helpful staff. Especially the people at breakfast and lunch :) the shower could use a little pressure and the hand shower leaks. We also asked to switch out our complimentary champagne bottle for something non alcoholic as we dont drink. But nothing happened. Other than that, good experience!"

"This is a wonderful hotel located on the Piazza della Repubblica and is convenient to both the Duomo and the Uffizi Galleries. The historic hotel was comfortable, clean and well maintained, especially for a 150 year old property. We would definitely consider staying here again on any future trips to Florence."

"Old, unique hotel with a lot of stairs and a small, slow elevator. Our room was huge, but the laminate floor near the bathroom gave when we waled on it, felt like we might fall through. Location is great, between Santa Maria and the Duomo. Very easy to navigate from."

"If this were the year 2000 or even 2006, this hotel would have been perfect. However, like most hotels it has not caught up with the number of power outlets that are required. It should not be necessary to unplug the refrigerator to plug in device chargers. It also should be noted that, while the refitting has been done very well, the multiple levels of the original property have meant that there are multiple trip hazards."
