"The hotel has an excellent location steps from the Nishiki market. However, the room was quiet and the beds were firm. It was very convenient to have a washer/ dryer system in the room. The room was a bit small but functional with a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Bus and subway stations are nearby."

"The whole place is spacious, peaceful and beautiful! Japanese style room equipped with complimentary drinks and snacks as well as nice pajamas and slippers to use during stay. The shower and very large bath tub are amazing! Very close to great shopping and Nishiki market. We hope to come back soon for a longer stay."

"The hotel is located in a very convenient area in Gion and is easy to get to the subway station. The unit that we had was the standard one bedroom with two double beds and the unit was super clean, modern and spacious! My mom and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Rinn Gion Shirakawa. The amenities that they provided were amazing too, ranging from a water fountain, laundry machines and a microwave and others… super great! I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to travel to Kyoto! "

"We had such a great stay! The hotel was located off the main streets for shopping and within walking distance of bus stops and the subway - so convenient! We loved every aspect of the stay. A beautiful lounge area in the lobby, clean rooms, and helpful service."

"Spacious room/living area, perfect for longer stays. Thank you for introducing us to Kyo bancha tea. We appreciated the special amenities (carbonated water, snacks) and the origami. The washer and dryer system is new to us and was challenging, even with Google translate and Lens, but we managed."

"This was a lovely hotel! Great location close to the metro and only two stops up from Kyoto Station; it’s right next to the market and a lot of shopping and restaurants. It was very easy for us to get around to all the sights we wanted to see! The room itself was huge and clean. The beds were possibly the most comfy hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The staff were very kind and also helped me ship my luggage at the end. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"As a solo traveller this place exceeded my expectations. The room was very cozy, bathroom very chic and practical and the location was amazing. It’s right at the start of the older cobblestoned dimly lit area and coming home after dinner was really a treat walking the streets. "

"We were here as 2 friends travelling together. POSITIVES: The room was a great size (compared to some Japanese hotels) with good, customisable lighting (some hotels have had very low lighting in comparison). Had 2 variety of pillows, one with an Interesting neck support thing inbuilt, which I loved. Great location, 500m walk to nishiki markets for food . We didn’t include breakfast, but the cafe opened early (7am) she did good coffee & had a small western breakfast menu. There is a separate...
