Would definitely recommend for anyone that isn’t adverse to climbing long stairways and steep sidewalks - but that’s the basic nature of CT anyway. The only negative was the inability to check in a little early because we arrived in a downpour. But otherwise a great home base from which to enjoy the charm...

"Giovanni is a good manager. The room was clean and the view was nice. However it's right on top of the hill. finding the address is not easy as the entrance is in a narrow back alley, it is a sharp uphill and the place has a tight stairs that are not suitable for heavy luggage. Younger folx may enjoy it more."

"Enrico and Maria Dolores were exceptional hosts. Our room had a small patio with a view of the town and ocean, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were of a higher standard than most comparably priced places. Because we were nearer to the top of the hill, our room was also quiet and full of light. What made our stay so exceptional, however, was how attentive Enrico and Maria Dolores were to our preferences. They responded to our requests and thought through to what else we might want or need. We highly recommend Hotel del Sole. The only caveat we would have is that Cinque Terre is challenging for anyone with mobility issues, and Hotel del Sole is higher up on the hill. The trade off is more hill to climb for more quiet, better views, and more light."
