"Absolutely excellent property with great views. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Bathroom was luxurious, water was soft. The king bed was incredible! Very soft sheets. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the dining/sitting area. Comfortable chairs, granite tables. Breakfast was OK, with how luxurious the hotel was I would have expected something aside from a continental style service. All in all, a great property conveniently located near the Black Hills and a short drive...

"I really liked the queen loft room we stayed at, for both privacy and the unique layout. The daily breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was a big plus. Additionally, the community room for access to resources and continental breakfast was a very nice perk. The owners are hard-working and friendly as well. Thanks for the enjoyable experience!"

"We had such a good time. And our two dogs had even more fun. We were all so relaxed. Really enjoyed sitting out in the Mount Rushmore viewing area with a glass of wine after a long drive. The food is really good and the staff is as nice as we’ve found anywhere. Jadz the night manager is great and we love the dude who runs the food area. All of them class acts. We don’t like camping but love UNder Canvas. The tents are awesome. "

"Good rooms had 2 queens and pull out and kitchen . Pull out is fine for a kid but isnt very comfy . Room smell weird but maybe was from previous guests not sure like a wood or food smell but room was very clean and works good .water park is great and accessible from the hotel thru a connecetion hallway and is secure safe place . Rapid city itself is nice town and lots of food options . water park food is good and good bars in it and decent prices . My kids rate it 10/10 i rate it 9/10 overall...

"If you want to be right in the mix up in things, this will be a great stay! The historical hotel and all of the amenities within and close by we’re unbeatable. If you’re on the weekends parking is free and was not hard to find. Be prepared for some train noise if you are a light sleeper."
