"McMenamins Edgefield is an experience, and we've stayed there a number of times. The rooms, for the most part, are from another era (it used to be the county "poor farm"), but the grounds are spectacular, the heated outdoor pool is stunning at night. The food is somewhat expensive, but my wife and I shared a grilled Ahi appetizer that was outstanding- probably the best I've ever had.
