"The staff here is always a delight! Emily at the front desk remembered us at checkout and made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself is a well taken care of older building, so that means more room, thicker walls, and a tub and shower in many rooms. Every interaction with the staff has made us feel welcome and that they genuinely want us to have a good time. It's our favorite place to stay in Portland. "

"This hotel is truly incredible. The spa and the pool was the highlight of my trip. The staff in the spa were so welcoming and friendly and Patrick was amazing! I had dinner at the Bellpine on the top floor and it was delicious. I recommend doing to the 7 course dinner it was so much fun trying new and different dishes. Overall will be back! "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Benson hotel recently. It's beautiful with the historic and classic beauty. It's very well maintained and clean. Inside room it looks modern and spacious. You won't feel it's over one hundred years. The staff are friendly. I like the stairway museum. It's informational and good setting to efficiently use the space to share the history of the hotel and Portland. "
