Overall, the apartment was decent for our family of three and had a few things going for it. The location was convenient, close to the train terminal and away from the busiest tourist crowds. It was about a 20–30 minute walk to the city centre, which worked well for us.
That said, there were several things that could be improved. We noticed mosquitoes in the apartment and woke up with numerous bites. The AC also did not cool the entire space properly, with the bedroom remaining quite hot, and there was a constant rattling noise from the unit.
The apartment was not very soundproof, and we could hear footsteps, conversations, coughing and construction noise. The refrigerator also did not get cold enough to properly keep food and drinks chilled. There was also visible dust and the apartment could have been cleaner overall.
For the price we paid, we expected more in terms of cleanliness, comfort and overall maintenance. It’s a decent option for a family wanting to stay away from the crowds and be relatively close to the train station, but there is definitely room for improvement.
