Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Follow these handy tips that will get your Gundogdu holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your prime concern when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes work well.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks is also a wise idea.
