Room in an old country inn. Room fairly basic but fine for a night or two. Close enough to Exeter to be accessible. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again if in the area.

I was kept awake by loud music that finished at 01.00 in the morning, not happy !!! Glad of the small electric heater in the room was the weather was cold. The bathroom could do with some attention, The bed was comfortable glad of the extra blanket.

Very comfortable, convenient and well priced accommodation. Being a pub the bar was well patronised and the dinner menu was very extensive and the food very good. Missed a shower in the bathroom and would also have liked a glass for nighttime water.

Rooms are pretty rustic but perfectly comfortable. Can't fault the value for money. 15-20mins drive in to Exeter. Will definitely use again.

Excellent stay.

A great little pub,with great selection of ales. Room was a good size,clean. The staff were very friendly as were the locals to the pub. Food was great also. Just one tiny thing. Maybe a blind in the bathroom as i kept thinking people could look in as was on main road.

Avoid

Staff are really friendly and helpful but the accommodation is very poor it's not just that the rooms are tired and need a revamp it's the lack of cleanliness the shower wasn't clean and significant amounts of mould around tray etc and windows and dirt and dust around room and the mattress was absolutely worn out ,breakfast wasn't the best either wasn't given a choice well apart from tea or coffee full English it is !

This stopover stay was made perfect by the kindness and friendliness of the member of staff who, on learning that I was going to be late, said they would stay behind and wait until I had arrived. They were so polite and hospitable.

Very passable basic room for a very good price. Can't complain for the money it cost. Clean and comfortable enough and friendly staff but the shower wasn't great (broken attachment to the rail) and the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable.

The rooms are upstairs of a local pub, not modernised interior but simple and clean enough. You can hear some activities going on downstairs but didn't bother me. It stop at certain time, I had good sleep at night.

Very nice pub rooms nice and tidy, unfortunate situated overlooking the beer garden, and windows open due to heat, very noisy. Food was very good and service was spot on. Disappointed to be informed breakfast was not being served on my day of departure.

My recent stay.

Room was clean, bed.was comfortable. Staff were polite. Wifi was poor & non existent ( maybe the service provider or location?) Windows could do with upgrading as it was the old wooden frame type with the arm & latch ( the latches were a bit wobbly). Overall a pleasent stay
