"The hotel is very pretty and charming and in an amazing location along the waterfront. I was really looking forward to staying here. However, to my disappointment, I didn't have a great experience. There seems to be little soundproofing between floors. There was a lot of commotion above me to the point that I thought they were remodeling. But, what made my experience just bad was that sometime between 3-3:30am I was awoken out of a sound sleep to large banging that literally shook the walls of my room to the point that I called the front desk. However my room phone didn't work and had to use my cell phone. The night desk attendant was very kind and I appreciated that he looked into it. It's a mystery what it was. Early in the morning, I could hear running foot steps above me. Just strange for a large hotel to have this issue. While the late night front desk attendant was excellent, the reason I gave the 3 star for staff was the check-in attendant that I had wasn't friendly or welcoming. He just waved me over. If I didn't initiate the greeting, I'm not sure he would have said hello to me. He didn't tell me anything about the hotel, amenities, restaurant, etc. The other attendant that was helping a couple check-in was telling them all kinds of things and seemed super friendly. It's a beautiful hotel and I don't really understand why the hotel has the issues that I experienced. When I checked out, the attendant was friendly, however she didn't ask how my stay was, so here it is."

"We were disappointed by this facility. We arrived to discover that our room literally hung over the Mass Turnpike. So, it was pretty noisy. The room itself had a heating system without a thermostat despite a large sign saying that we should use a thermostat to adjust the temperature. The tv remote didn’t work. The toilet kept flushing unless you played with the handle. The floor of our room was so dirty that we didn’t walk in bare feet. I’ve not seen floors that dirty in a hotel in many years. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant and it was good, but it doesn’t open until 3pm if you want a drink or lunch. Still, reasonable prices for the neighborhood. The breakfast buffet had the usual but nothing interesting. The major pro was the staff who were unfailingly friendly and helpful. But the place needs some serious organization and infrastructure (plumbing, heating, etc) for the amount they charge."

"All in all, this is a really nice hotel. The staff is top-notch, the entire facility is clean, and it's great that you can access the Pru, a connector mall with high-end stores, without having to brave Boston's cold winds. Just two complaints: the breakfast buffet was way too expensive considering the paltry spread, and the accessible room we ordered did not have a walk-in shower, just a tub with grab bars. I can't figure out why hotels as big as this one don't have more rooms with walk-in showers AND anti-slip pads for the bath. My mother, who is almost 90, decided not to take a chance taking a shower. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay."

"The bathroom in the room is substandard and can not control water temp. The air condition can not be control and it does not work. Breakfast is horrible. The overall look of the hotel is more like a motel. The price was extremely high for what i got. I thought because the price i would get a very nice accomodation but i was very wrong."
