"We are elderly so carrying our bags up the stairs to our room was not ideal but other than that there is not one complaint about the beautiful room we stayed in. It was obviously just completely renovated and they did a fabulous job with it! I would have liked a comfortable chair to read in but the bed was great and the lighting was excellent! I great stay for the money. Be prepared for a video check in. The wave of the future??? I hope not!"

"The best thing about this property was it was right across the street from the harbor and close enough to walk to the beach, restaurants, and park. The hotel staff were polite and they cleaned our room very well halfway during our stay. The small breakfast provided was decent. The only downside, is it’s an older hotel, and some things were a little run down. And there was hair we had to clean up on the floor in our room."

"Istayed at the hotel for a week.It reeked of mold. We found mold underneath the bed. They were supposed to move us to a different room. They never did. The refrigerator didn't work. I had to argue with them to get a refrigerator the room was facing the alleyway next to dumpsters. We're a lot of homeless we're smoking drugs.Meth pipes on the ground said they sort of continental breakfast.There was nothing there but a packet of instant oatmeal and a still no name granola bar, they considered that...

"The mouth of the Smith River is a magical place and the XVR Resort provided a first class way to experience it. I heartily recommend this place to anyone, especially those who may want to ‘unplug’, disconnect and enjoy an idyllic few days with nature. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This place has gone downhill. It wasn't "nice" to start with but it was clean and comfortable. The last few times I've stayed there had been a musty odor and mildew on the shower curtain, sticky substances ont he table and nightstand, old separated toiletries, TV not working, shorted on towel, and the rooms are really looking very worn. To call this a one star motel is even a stretch. The owners need to seriously update the property. I have stayed here off and on for the last 4 years and it's...

"Understaffed (waited 5 minutes for someone to show up at reception), disorganized (gave us a room that had yet to be cleaned), and a little disingenuous (saud we didn't have to pay for the "better" room they put us in, which had the same amenities we had booked...). Floor was visibly dirty, but it was otherwise a comfortable stay."
