"Breakfast was ok. Staff were great and very helpful. When we requested extra items for our room they were delivered promptly. One person helped us book our Hop on Hop Off tour. The hotel itself was dated and certainly not soundproof. We could hear people in the next room. The location was perfect with lots of restaurants nearby and a short walk to the main train terminal and tourist information. We were able to take the train directly to the airport which is always very handy. "

"Not sure where to start. Very dirty room. Hair all over the place. Broken pretty much everything. Toilet seat, shelf above the sink, drawers. Bad, bad mattress. Not sure hiw long I need to recover my back. You have to wait for the water to warm up for at least 15 minutes. Sometimes it never does. We came back once and the main door was locked at the street. The reception guy locked the door and left somewhere. We had to wait until he opens the door. How could Hotels.com allow this property to be listed? The only good thing was the location."

"Tired and old school property, but very nice staff and decent but outdated rooms. I agree that it really is a three star hotel, and $365 for a single room was way too much for what it is. That said, the rooftop breakfast room and terrace are the best thing about the hotel, and almost make it worth the hotel’s price. If only I’d remembered to have a drink on the terrace at night — amazing views! Location near the train station is good too. "

"I stayed at Villa Luzzati and there are a few important things future guests should know before booking. I booked a bed in a 4-bed dorm, but the room actually had 5 beds. The 5th bed was a bunk bed without proper stairs, making it uncomfortable and unsafe to climb. Also, there were only two outlet areas in the room, so it was difficult for everyone to charge their devices at night. One important thing to know is that there are no locks on the room doors, either digital or manual. There are small lockers outside the rooms, but you must bring your own lock. The washrooms were cleaned daily, which was good, but the shower curtain and shower head were broken during my stay. Towels are not provided unless you ask for them, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries and towel. The positive side of this hostel is definitely the location. It’s about a 7-minute walk to the metro station and nearby bus stops. Places like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain can be reached within about 25 minutes by metro or bus. The front desk staff, especially Dimitri, was very friendly and helpful. Another female staff member was also kind and supportive. I requested fresh bedsheets and a comforter, and they changed them for me immediately. Otherwise, you may end up using bedding that was previously used by another guest. I paid around CAD 56 per night, and personally I did not feel it was worth the price. However, it was one of the cheapest options I could find in Rome."

"Central location. Great staff. Secure. But Clientele insist on smoking which ruins sleep necessary to stay healthy exploring Rome. Could use 24 hour monitoring, or smoke alarms."
