"Hotel Metropolitan was wonderful to stay in for our 2 week Japan trip. The staff were very polite and helpful. The refurbishment they have had is wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and it was everything we needed. It was helpful that there was a Muji restaurant connected with out hotel as it meant we could easily have a buffet breakfast. The location was great and we had a wonderful time."

"I enjoyed my stay here for 17 nights very much! The staff is friendly and helpful and speaks English as needed. The food is good and an excellent location to travel to and from with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby! I would stay here again. Beds are kind of hard for Americans but doable."

"Housekeeping was very efficient in cleaning daily. Kitchenette made preparing snacks easy. Washroom was the best feature. Toilet that has built-in biddet so no need for toilet paper. Beautiful view of the city. Easy walking distance to Yokohama Station. Takes only about 2-5 minutes on foot."

"Really good hotel catering to Westerners. Just beware that the street below is very busy and loud, especially on the weekends. It's a big "party" street."

"Expect a small budget room; the original concept seems to have been a room for a traveling salary man- small, quiet, no frills. Be aware that the smoking rooms do indeed smell of smoke/ I know that seems obvious, but some rooms are better than others. Ask at the front desk for their room recommendations. "

"Good breakfast, 4 minutes walking distance to the train station, 3 minutes walking distance to the 24/7 coin laundry. Several restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores nearby. It’s been my third time staying and love it very much. We’re coming back next year."
