Star deducted as no buffet breakfast - one has to order from a fixed menu which not only restricts choice and becomes expensive if you want to have more than one item but takes time. I waited 15 minutes to get a simple egg on toast which in the mornings, when people are often in a hurry and need a quick breakfast, is very poor."

"The suites are fantastic, the location is excellent, and the staff were wonderful. Aegir Restaurant was also a highlight. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning is a dealbreaker for me. Everything else was great, but I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason alone. During warmer weather, comfort matters."

"The windows in our room were so dirty that it was hard to see the view. The rug was thread bear and had a hole that had been poorly repaired with the rug pad showing through . The gardens may have been lovely in years gone by but clearly aren’t getting any attention now. For almost $400 Canadian/ night I would expect more attention to detail and care for this beautiful old home. I won’t return"

"The property is old and needs some renovation, many things were broken or cluse to broken in the room. Some of the front reception were not helpful and useless. The cleaners did a good job cleaning the room every day and the location of the property is prime as it’s close to all the downtown attractions."

"The hotel water tasted acidic after being boiled in the kettle. There were no warnings about the water quality, and no time to check if the kettle was the problem. However, this should be taken seriously."

"Our room was beautiful and clean. However, my husband is a wheelchair and must use a lift to get into bed. The accessible room’s bed was on a pedestal and it was difficult to get him into bed. In accessible room’s the hotels need to consider that some people who are disable carry lifts with them. All bed should not be on a pedestal especially in wheelchair accessible room. This should be standard in all Hiltons. Also because he was in a wheelchair the parking was difficult. We were charge...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay, but housekeeping took a few of our brand new kitchen spoons we brought from home and no one helped us find them. Otherwise, we enjoyed our room, the hotel amenities and the location. The Blue Crab restaurant food and staff were also amazing. We would definitely come back for a future trip."
