"I accidentally booked the hotel for the wrong date. When I arrived around 10 p.m., the front door was closed, so I had to call the hotel. The manager answered and was extremely professional and helpful when I explained my situation. He went above and beyond, assuring me he would take care of everything and kindly allowed me to stay despite my booking mistake. He even explained where I could find extra blankets and pillows if needed. The staff were amazing, very friendly and always eager to help."

"Amazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm. The breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant were even better than expected. Some of the rooms have been redone, and so have not, so there is a variety of quality there. If you can splurge for the harbor view, it's lovely. May want to ask if the room you'll be...

"Met our needs as a basic apartment hotel. Staff very friendly and place clean. Check in quick. Noise due to street traffic and location but to be expected when so close to tourist areas and China town. We were not concerned about the noise as we wanted to be walkable to attractions and dining in Victoria without a rental car. Very easy to get around downtown Victoria."

"Not a long walk to downtown (although I am an avid walker). The hotel isn’t modern by any means but the staff have always been kind, attentive and professional. The rooms are clean and everything works. Wifi is good. There’s no view and some traffic noise, but it is convenient to arrive at from the ferry—for those wanting a downtown Victoria experience. "
