We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.
The pub itself was good for food competitively priced, which can be ordered thru the app (along with drinks)
The drinks we had an issue with - there were drinks on the app that weren’t available at the bar, the glasses had lipstick marks on them so washing is an issue & we were served a Fentiman’s Dandelion & Burdock drink 6 months out of date so stock rotation is a problem here.
Our room only had a fan to keep...
"Location was a plus since you don’t have to deal with congested traffic in the city. Free parking an obvious plus. Food was decent. Staff and service very good. The only real negative was one of hygiene. It was noticeable that when customers used the toilet facilities and failed to wash their hands, they would return to the restaurant and handle the utensils stacked in the containers on the table. In future, I would take wipes and clean before using."
"A nice travellers rest inn, we had a very spacious ground floor room with an equally spacious ensuite, the room was a little noisy early evening, but was generally quiet overnight. Well located in the centre of Bakewell close to all the town has to offer. The adjoining pub has a great atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating."
"This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels).
We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there.
Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...
