"We arrived in the evening and we had no problem getting our key from the lockbox. The access was very clean and our room had a nice view of the waterfall in the distance. The rooms are spacious and quiet and we did not hear any of the other guests all night. Parking is no problem and there is a convenient gas station next door. "

"We had the most charming stay a the Lake Hotel Gistihusid in Eglisstadir. The room triple room felt like a full on apartment- it was spacious, modern, and cozy. We enjoyed access to the onsite Spa. The staff was responsive and friendly to all of our requests. Breakfast was a highlight- many options, with a lot of Icelandic influence. We dined at the restaurant for two evenings. We found the food delicious and very good value in comparison to other restaurant hotels we ate at in Iceland. Overall...
