"We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Jokulsarlon. Sadly, the country was in a major weather alert situation so the views you would typically see were not visible. Despite this, we were able to still do a Glacier Lagoon boat tour and enjoy the hotels outdoor hot tubs. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant. On check-out day, the sun came out and we did get to see what the normal setting is and it truly is spectacular. The rooms are super nice and they provide slippers and robes...

"Set a bit off the main street, this was very quiet hotel. The breakfast options were great, and the restaurant on site was a great choice after a day exploring. Room was quiet and comfortable."

"Ekra Glacier Lagoon was a really nice place for us to stay near Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach. The setting was gorgeous with a bunch of waterfalls right behind our room! It's set back away from the road, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable and had firm and soft pillows to choose from. The room was clean and had a mini fridge, kettle, french press, with coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit the South Coast of Iceland....

"Newly renovated room with modern finishes. Good view of the lake. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the little extra touch of makeup remover wipes. Breakfast was a wide spread of different options and delicious."

"The staff were so nice bathrooms and showers spotless and many of them. The kitchen had everything clean and big enjoyed our stay."

"We had a large family room for 4 (you could easily fit more young children if co-sleeping). Common kitchen had other travelers making breakfast and chatting. (Keep in mind there's no food available at this location.) No problems waiting for the shared shower. Self-checking with code 24/7."

"We really enjoyed the layout of the family room with the loft space. Breakfast was as expected. "

"The area is beautiful! The hotel is in a very private treed area overlooking a lake. There are lots of birds. We enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the lake. The rooms are modern. Ours did not face the lake and guests could walk by and look into the room if the curtains were not closed. The restaurant was quite good and so was the included breakfast. "

"The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to Hofn but the views are absolutely breathtaking, the hotel is clean and comfortable and has a bar and restaurant in case you don’t want to drive to Hofn. "

"Comfy bed & pillows~. Superb dinner w roasted lamb, potatoes and the oven baked cod char meals, rhubarb crumble dessert, wine, and the Einstök White Ale. "

"Easy check in, clean room, parking right in front of cottage, great breakfast. We loved this guesthouse for a variety of reasons. There is a great hiking trail from the guesthouse, their dog 'Saga' was super fun and friendly and we saw the aurora from right outside our door. This is a place I would definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again."
