"Having parking was a huge benefit, the high street does get busy so knowing it wasn't going to be an issue is great. The breakfast was lovely, nice amount of choice and the full cooked breakfast was huge! We didn't get a chance to have a coffee in the cafe but the homemade cakes and biscuits looked delicious. "The whole experience was wonderful! My only draw was that with such a beautiful old property, that obviously wont have central air, they didnt provide a fan in the room. We kept the window open the entire time as it was unseasonably warm which resulted in some bug bites. A fan would've been lovely to combat the bugs and provide a bit of relief. "We really enjoyed our stay, even though we arrived late. There were plenty of places nearby to buy something to eat, as well as a pub, which was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue we experienced was with the bathroom. We tried to use the bathtub, but there was no cold water running to mix with the hot water, and the bathtub stopper wasn't working, so we couldn't use it properly. "Great location for getting around Edinburgh, and having a bar downstairs is a nice bonus. The room made a great first impression and was clean and comfortable. It could do with a little TLC in places, but for the price it was excellent value for money. There's also on-site parking and a lovely pub garden at the rear, which was a nice added touch."
