"The room was superb. The pool is excellent. There is one restaurant for breakfast with a buffet, and one restaurant for dinner. It did not have everything on the menu, and I found it pricey, although the food was good. Service was very slow, although I didn't mind - I wasn't in a hurry. No beach!"

The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. "Our experience at the Pagua Bay House was great! The grounds, cabana, restaurant, and view of the bay were amazing. We ate most of our meals on-site at the bar and grill. As others have mentioned, we really appreciated the help from Sheldon and Alicia in setting up activities and providing suggestions to explore the island! "Beautiful location in the middle of the rainforest. To wake every morning to the sounds of the rainforest was divine…. The hammock got very well used! The property is close to Douglas Charles airport, which is great, but it is extremely isolated if you don’t have your own car. It wasn’t easy to persuade tours to pick up here as most operated from Roseau on the other side of the island. "This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to see the real Dominica. Lovely, rustic rooms where you can really connect with nature as you feel like you are in the treetops. The staff were really friendly and I'd highly recommended having the family style dinner they provide as it's delicious and you get to speak with others staying there. Worth hiring a car as this is out of the way but plently of space to park on the road. "
