The town is incredible and this hotel is a very nice historic building in a prime location. The hotel staff and owners are extremely welcoming and the rooms are very nice. Would highly recommend."

"I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The room was amazing! They are so dog friendly and provided water bowls and treats. The location is right in the centre of town. The staff is so lovely. The building(s) are historic and beath-taking. The restaurant(s) and different sitting areas are incredible. If you're staying in town, you will not find a better option. The town view looks at the beautiful street and old buildings but the garden view is totally worth it as you see out over the valley and wall and is a great choice as well."

From the variety of hotels we stayed at during our whole trip, this hotel's breakfast was tied for number one. The proximity to the old town gate was so helpful in maximizing our time in the area. "Tolles moderneres Hotel mit sehr sauberen Zimmern und bequemen Betten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir fühlten uns tatsächlich willkommen. Außerdem sehr kinderfreundlich. Es liegt fussläufig zur Altstadt. Wir haben das Hotel zufällig entdeckt und waren sehr begeistert. Sollte es uns erneut in die Gegend verschlagen, würden wir es erneut buchen "

"Didn’t like the check-in process with no staff and available and having to use WhatsApp to communicate. Upon check-in our air conditioning unit was not working during a heat wave. We were told to wait it out. We waited eight hours and it never kicked in. We were offered another room, but it would only be available for a portion of our stay. After several hours we decided to call Expedia to book another hotel. Expedia called the owner of Toploft. The room he previously offered was now available for the duration of our entire trip plus it had functioning AC. At 11 PM we had to pack up our belongings and move across the street to another unit. Extremely inconvenient. If you’re a tourist, this isn’t the property for you because the area is a far distance from main tourist locations. "
