We had an amazing stay at this hotel which is located in the old town. Great location with plenty of dining options. I'm sure there might be friendlier hotels in the world, but I don't see how. This was, by far, the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Everyone was helpful and exceedingly polite. The rooms were great and comfortable. They had AC! Breakfast was fantastic. Communication was great. All reasons to give the hotel 5 stars. But then there's the location. Just steps away from central Rothenburg and less than a minute's walk the the market square. 5 stars ( but only because I can't give it more).

Very nice hotel right next to the city center. We parked outside the town and walked in about 10 minutes to the hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms with a welcome treat and excellent breakfast.
