"The hotel is up a steep sloping street and in a quiet area. It has a traditional feel and the cafe is really nice and the hot springs, however there is no view, unless you pay for the private baths upstairs. "We Americans stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommended. Great cultural experience for those looking for an authentic ryokan in an older style building with communal bathing facilities. Japanese breakfast was really fun but I had little idea what I was eating. Go with an open mind! I was glad there were a couple of very helpful staff who spoke some English. Otherwise, it looked like all local Japanese guests there!"
