"Good location for walking into Durham city. Good carpark on site. Room clean but very hot even without radiator on. Could possibly be noisey in high season as our room over main entrance and smoking area. Staff friendly and attentive. Food adequate. Seemed very pet friendly, ideal for guests with dogs. Website said there is a safe located in the bedrooms, there was no safe in our room. "

"Although the room was clean the bathroom bin had not been emptied. Check in was very smooth and easy, Alex was very welcoming and informative, sharing information for the local area as well as hotel. The spa pool area was good and easy to use. The only negative is you have to walk through reception and the bar area to get to it which is a little uncomfortable when wearing your dressing gown. Breakfast was very good. Location very good. I would recommend and I would stay again "

"Briliant location - surrounded by countryside but less than 10 minutes' drive into Durham. Very dog friendly, with great walks from the door. Rooms were clean and cosy, with toiletries and tea and coffee facilities supplied. There is a sitting area inside and a large garden space. Breakfast was simple and delicious. The owners are friendly and gave us some good recommendations, but also gave us our own space. "

"Outstanding place! Lovely and well done out with all you need, great communication from the host. Easy to find, parking right outside the door. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Definitely use again. Didn’t use the pub 150 yards away sadly. "
