"Our room smelled like dirty old stale cigarette smoke. Corners on the bathroom floor were grungy dirty, we noticed a plastic bag over the smoke detector in the room, the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed, I found a live cockroach on the bathroom floor, and it looked like someone squished one on the bathroom wall, the tub wouldn't drain and there were only about 4 tissues in the box, the clock radio was broken, the door to the room rubbed against the frame which made it very hard to open...

"This was an excellent stay despite of the fact I have a mobility problem and our room was 40+ steps above. Unique place and the people I met there were friendly and kind. If you're lucky enough to run into JeanMarie outside weeding, make sure you ask her questions about this area, she's local and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our 2nd luck was seeing Chef Kashiff. Never expected that level of frienliness - we were beyond charmed by his story. Don't forget to make the 3 course dinner...

"Had an amazing stay at Hotel Morgan. They recently became dog friendly so my parents could join us there. Everything was clean/modern but still had the historic feel. The staff were all friendly & would definitely stay there again! The shower pressure & head was probably the best in all of our hotel stays."

"We came during a baseball tournament weekend and so the hotel was packed. We were given the wrong room at check in. We booked a double queen (we had 3 people) were given a room with 1 queen bed. Then when we went down to the deck they gave us a new room, went to it and there is still only one bed, but a king this time. Went back to the desk they said they had no other rooms for that night, but should for the next night. So we agreed to make do. (They compt us a breakfast.) returned to our room...

"It gives a vibe of a nice hotel. Lower ceilings but otherwise it’s excellent. The beds and rooms were excellent. Hopefully over time it doesn’t get tired."

"The outside of the building and lobby area aren't fancy, but the room was very sufficient with a great cold air conditioner and good hot showers. The breakfast was very nice and well-maintained throughout the morning and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. Great location for visiting Harper's Ferry historic sites and the AT."
