"The hotel is very dated and dirty and not a 5 star hotel.
We paid well over £750.00 a night.
Hotel is at best 3 star hotel
I didn't enjoy my stay at all and the money charged was extortionate"

"Big changes since new ownership- none of them good unfortunately! 👎
Since new owners came in:
Soap in rooms GONE ❌
Shower gel in rooms GONE ❌
Biscuits in rooms GONE ❌
Real butter in restaurant GONE ❌
Local cheese at breakfast GONE ❌
Fair midweek room rates£ GONE ❌
Measly penny pinching! Sad to see as the excellent staff here look demoralised by what’s happening around them! I sense they’re embarrassed!
If your budget runs to a standard double room you’ll experience an uncomfortable dated...

"We stayed at this hotel for the last night of our 4 day South-North Wales road trip. After spending 3 full days trekking, sightseeing and driving, it was a perfect end to a brilliant road trip. The hotel was welcoming and super comfortable and the spa experience before we headed home on our final morning was a perfect relaxing finish.
The backdrop of the hotel was stunning and the grounds were perfectly maintained and postcard pretty. Would absolutely have no hesitation recommending this...

"Great Location for a relaxing stay with my gf. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, good space.
Could be better with more loungers in pool and spa area to relax next to and breakfast was okay but nothing special."

"Bed room clean. Mattress and pillows on the hard side.
Shower room sensors stayed on all night so did not sleep very well.
Noise and banging throughout the night, from the dining room below I think, dragging of chairs.
Bathroom had recycled soap dispensers with clogged shampoo. Would have been nice to have had small unopened mini bottles for hygiene purposes.
Fantastic evening meal and breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely hotel."

"We booked a 2 night stay for our 9th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have been happier. So happy in fact that on checkout we actually went back inside for one more coffee before leaving.
The Bruce Suite was immaculate and perfect. Little touches wishing us best wishes on our anniversary with a prosecco on arrival, a card and even little touches when having our evening dinner meal.
The spa was amazing and genuinely as a whole experience makes our top 3 of all time.
Staff were always on...
