"The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean and tidy. The tv was not a smart tv as stated and the shower was very small , I’m glad neither of us were big people as it was tight to get between the shower and sink to use the toilet and there was no tv in the bedroom , we found on arrival a hot tub which I wish we knew about , unfortunately it was not the weather to use it. yes we would stay again despite the few little negative things . "

"Like most old hotel properties, it needs a lot of TLC. However the bedroom we were in was updated and comfortable. Public areas stairs, corridors and lifts need work. Staff were good and the buffet breakfast had excellent choices."

"Stayed at the Mill for one night this time. Going to Delemere forest to see a concert. Excellent location, walked to Chester bus exchange ,pre booked a bus to concert. As always staff very professional and friendly. Checked in went to concert, has a night cap when arrived back. Breakfast, varied and good standard "

"Great amenities - two gyms, spa, golf. Spacious rooms. Very good buffet breakfast. Friendly drivers on the luxurious shuttle buses. Very welcoming and friendly staff throughout the complex. Wide variety of food options although quite expensive. Tired decor of rooms and hotel corridors e.g. missing bits of wallpaper. Some marks on the paint in the rooms. Could do with a refurbishment."

"Very enjoyable and good location by the railway station for our luxury trip to Carlisle on a steam train. Reall y enjoyed Chester and Carlisle Cathedrals and walking the wall in Chester."

"My stay overall was good. The only problem was the single rooms are very small. It said there was no wifi in the bedrooms. But I did have wifi and I was on the third floor. "

"A stunning property. The attention to detail in the decor is beautiful and it really elevates the ambience of your stay. Dog friendly which is unexpected given the quality of the interior design, but a welcomed one. The room is spacious with all needs accounted for (iron, air con, mood lighting). The foods in Nelson's is excellent quality with a nice option of choices with big portion sizes. The gardens on the grounds are well maintained and add to the property. Overall a beautiful hotel. "

"Driving up to this hotel it definitely had the wow factor. Reception staff were very polite and welcoming, and provided a very high level of customer service. The room itself was beautiful very large, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Evening meal was beautiful and so was breakfast. The only downfall is that this was a short overnight stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning "

"I booked last minute for 1 night only. It was classed as a single room n was quite reasonable. It also included breakfast. The room was clean n comfortable but very basic and in need of painting. It wouldn’t be the type of room you’d stay in for a holiday but for one night @ that price it was fine."

"It’s very well equipped and 5 mins away from all the attractions."

"We liked where the property was situated ans we had a sea view. The room itself was nice but small and very warm, the curtains was very heavy to draw so a blind would have been better. The staff were all very nice and nothing was to much trouble, theguys who served breakfast did a excellent job and the breakfast was very enjoyable. "

"Lovely hotel,very clean with friendly staff. One down point was our room wasn't cleaned one day, this didn't bother us as we keep things clean anyway. This didn't impact our stay and we both had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend away, we would definitely visit again"
