"Proprietor was attentive to everyone's needs, flexible with schedules, went out of her way to create an atmosphere and provide extras which both made the visit unique. The view of the lake was stunning, the room spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room for guests to enjoy the whole house without feeling crowded, even if the weather had become unpleasant. Rooms were light and airy, artfully decorated, with good flow. We'll go out of our way to visit again."

"This is my third time staying at this property, it is super convenient to access the wineries around Hector. It’s nice to drive down to the water and sit on the dock and watch sunset. The facilities are always very clean and well-kept, kitchen was fully stocked beds are very comfortable, this is my new go to place to stay on that side of Seneca lake. "

"Truly Beautiful and amazing place. We loved our two night stay and would come back again and again. Loved the food from Sapalta and breakfast buffet was stellar (for purchase). "Our stay at the Fox and the Grapes was excellent! We throughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, the main fireplace in the great room/lobby, and fireplace in our East Lake room. This was the perfect home base for our Seneca Lake wine tour! We enjoyed meeting Guinness, the friendly B&B German shorthair pointer, who made us feel welcome as well. We will definitely be coming back! "
