"Clean room, nice breakfast, comfortable beds, and incredible location"

"The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the bartender made excellent drinks. I'm giving 4 stars because the staff never vacuumed the hallways on the 13th floor. There was paper and what looked liked broken plastic pieces on the ground my entire stay. It was right outside the employee door for supplies so I'm unsure why they didn't clean it. I also asked for an extra blanket and it was so old that it was beaded up and hard as if the velour was burned by being dried too many times. The...

"Staff was absolutely amazing. While this stay was a bit pricey compared to others on our trip-the location made up for it. We appreciate the old pictures showing the transformation of the building from a historic bank into a classy hotel. Ended up booking an additional Drury stay in Louisiana just because it was so nice "

"Room was spacious and clean. The balcony was small, but cosy. If you want some quiet, I would avoid the pool facing rooms. Nice view of the sunrise, but lots of noise from the pool area. "

"All the restaurants except for one are at the sister location. Feel like that is deceiving. The pool and fire pit closed several times due to weather. Just felt like we had to leave the property to enjoy our weekend. "

"Property is right on the beach which is awesome! Pool was a bit smaller than expected, breakfast was a nice addition, could have used more staff at the front desk and gift shop area. Cleaning staff was great! Out of hand soap for the week which was tough and not enough pillows for the person using the pullout bed. Surprised with the $10/day parking fee which was a bummer. Our view was amazing! Be prepared for some lively music on the weekends. "

"Stayed in Houston to visit some family. Clean and spacious room. It’s an odd location, however, and appears to just be close to hospitals (my fault as I didn’t really look into this). Not a great spot if you want to do any sightseeing or something touristy so would keep that in mind. Was a bit blindsided by the $50/night valet charge—no real other options for parking so would add that to your daily rate. "
