"It's a good place to stay , rooms are decent..close to beach .ice machine works .pool is open and clean. The bad is towels .Bring your own towels and your good!
Hard your them too give every room 6-8 towels....
Seen a few unhappy people over towels...
Overall for 80$ a night you can't complain huh..

I come to visit my family here pretty often. The restaurants and stores always have great service. It's a nice place to visit and not too touristy. The weather is nice and there is a lot to do but the road construction can get annoying.

Excellent
We went to the movies while there and enjoyed how close it was to our hotel. The surrounding area had lots to do with bowling, laser tag, and NASA nearby.

Texas City is not my dream vacation spot, but this hotel was an unexpected gem. It very possibly saved my sanity and our marriage - and we've been married 50 years, but this hurricane pushed this old lady over the edge! 10/10

"We enjoyed our stay. Our room was ready early so we were able to check in earlier than expected. It was great to come back to the pool after a long day at the beach. I love that the breakfast lasted until 11, so you don't feel rushed. "
"It was a wonderful family trip to Galveston. The San Luis was excellent once again! We appreciate the kindness of the staff, and how they take pride of keeping the rooms and the hotel so clean."
"Even though we only stayed for a night, we had a lovely experience. Pool area is amazing, the inside bar drinks and bites were great, and breakfast was delicious. We loved the charm of the Grand Galvez!"
