"We stayed here a few nights to visit Edinburgh in festival month. The owner is very welcoming and friendly; but the standard is disappointing by today's standards. A dog seemed to have stayed in the room before us (she takes pets) which needed more thorough airing and cleaning. The room had a slightly tired feeling. The setting is lovely and it is handy for Edinburgh - 30 mins by car and a good train service from nearby Linlithgow."

10/10 Excellent

" Great stay. Do not sleep on the breakfast buffet add on. Very worth it. Can’t beat this place for the price in Sterling from what I’ve seen so far. Only note is that the rooms get a bit toasty. It didn’t bother me too much and I think you can ask for a fan at front desk if you need."
