Sri Lanka Hotels with shuttle

"Arrived late after a long day flying. Check in was as swift as it could be and we were soon in our room. Clean and cool with comfy beds, toiletries available, water, etc. what more could you need for a stay between flights? Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from. But oddly tea was not readily available though they brewed a pot when I asked. The staff are all so lovely and extremely helpful and friendly. Laying by the pool is bliss (still here!) and they’ve given us a complimentary late...

"The hotel was close to the city centre and near railway station in Kandy. The hotel manager was helpful and knowledgeable about tourist sites and bus, train, three wheeler transport. The breakfast was delicious, scramble eggs and toast, and tea. "

"Great spot for our arrival in Sri Lanka. We stayed one night. Comfortable bed, large room and easy walk to the Main Street to get dinner. The owner drove us to Habarana the next day for a fair price and even gave us several recommendations for our next few days and bought us local fruits. "

"Kandy can be quite expensive, so we booked this place in nearby (and non-touristy) Matale for a fraction of the prices further South. It's a short walk or tuk tuk from the main bus stop. It's a wedding/reception venue with a few modest rooms and a lovely deck for meals. Our room was excellent for the price, though we chose to 'upgrade' to get the aircon remote for another USD $5. Although we hadn't organised in advance, they were able to serve us dinner for a small fee too. There's no toilet...

"This place was the worst we have ever stayed. They probably never wash bed sheets and pillow covers. You will literally smell the last visitor's smell of head from your pillow. The bed was too small, if you are taller than 170cm, you will see your leg is hanging out of the bed. Solution we found was sleeping diagonal direction and wrap up the pillow with out cloth. Shower was nearly impossible as their water pressure was almost non existent. The ad said free wifi but the wifi password was never...

"This is a simple but pleasant place to stay. My room was very clean and was cleaned nicely each day. There was tea making facilities, a small fridge and 24 hours of hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful. Next door is a very cheap and easy place to get snack, tea and coffee. Literally round the corner is a bigger more comprehensive place to eat and down the road a few metres is a well stocked supermarket. Across Galle Road (3 minutes walk) is Marino Mall with a great little tea and cake...
