No exception and the staff said that is a rule which is understandable. So you have to pull your suitcase around if you still want to tour around Jozankei."

"This hotel truly felt like a five-star home. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. Although the parking entrance is a bit tricky to find, the staff at the main entrance were incredibly helpful, guiding me to the designated lot and immediately assisting with my luggage. The check-in process was seamless and efficient. The Onsen Experience: Located in a renowned hot spring area, this hotel’s onsen facilities are second to none. They cater to everyone’s needs, including lower-temperature baths for those with high blood pressure, and both indoor and outdoor options. I was particularly impressed by the impeccable cleanliness—I didn’t see a single stray hair on the floor as staff were constantly cleaning. They also provide high-quality, complimentary toiletries and skincare products that were so good I ended up buying some at the hotel shop. Room & Comfort: I stayed in a Western-style room which was spotless and well-organized. The view of the snow-capped mountains from the window was breathtaking. It was a very restful stay, and I loved the convenience of being able to walk around the hotel comfortably in the provided yukata. Dining & Location: The breakfast buffet was incredible, with an extensive variety of exquisite dishes—there were so many options I couldn't even try them all! The location is also perfect, just a short walk to the famous Jigokudani (Hell Valley) and the local shopping street."

"This hotel is extremely convenient if you have an early flight to catch the next day, as it is located right at the airport. One of the highlights is the free breakfast, which starts as early as 6:00 AM—perfect for early birds. Guests also get complimentary access to the airport’s hot spring (Onsen) facilities, which is a fantastic way to relax. However, do note that they have a strict policy regarding tattoos, so you won’t be able to enter if you have any. Overall, everything was decent. The rooms are quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The only downsides are that the building feels a bit dated, and the wait times for the elevators can be quite long. Despite being a little old, it's still a solid choice for a stress-free airport stay!"

"I wish we stayed here longer, the staff were amazing and helpful even with the language barrier. The location is authentically Japanese, or as close as possible. The Onsens were amazing and food was delicious. I was planning on gate keeping the location so it doesn’t become too westernised, but the place is too amazing and hopefully it keeps its Japanese roots. "
