"The location was great for getting into downtown Edinburgh by bus. Very Easy pick up and drop off out front. Parking can be an issue. Limited space on property but then you can pay to park in zoo parking lot, or keep moving your car as spots open up. Inquire more for parking. Also please be aware there are no wash cloths in Scotland or Ireland. Not even at a Holiday Inn. We went and bought one at a beauty/pharmacy store."

"Pros: It’s ten minutes walk from the major supermarket Morrison and the shopping mall, plus Nando’s which normally opens till 10pm. Also five minutes walk from the tram station Edinburgh Gateway Cons: The facility was not equipped with on site laundry, gym or pool. There was basically nothing, just a restaurant that serves deli breakfast and pizza for dinner. The room was super small (given we are in Edinburgh) and you can hardly find any space for storage. Oh I forget to mention you can hear...

"The location is good and the design of the lobby is nice BUT the cleaning is very poor: 1- The shower is unclean at least in our room. 2- We asked them more than 3 times after they “clean” the room to make the bed and take the trash out. How do you clean the room if you don’t empty the trash bin or make the bed? 3- The lightbulb was flickering in the bathroom and it delays when it’s switched on. 4- The WiFi is slow."

"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."

"one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."
